Question : Second IP-adress for one networkadapter / Virtual interface

How is it possible under windows xp to give the networkadapter a second ip-adress?
With linux i would create a virtual interface... Is it possible under windows too?

Answer : Second IP-adress for one networkadapter / Virtual interface

You can use two IP addresses with the same NIC; you have to use two static addresses, DHCP won't work anymore.
Open the properties of the NIC, then edit the TCP/IP properties to use a static IP. Click the "Advanced" button, and you can now add additional addresses in the "IP Addresses" section.
