Question : Can't get Emails to delete in phone after deleted from Outlook

I just got the new HTC Hero from sprint. I have gmail setup on my home PC and my work through outlook 2007. I set it up on the Hero and its coming in and sending out fine. I want it set up in a way when I delete a message from outlook, it disappears from the phone Inbox. Right now it doesn't do that. Is there a specific setting in outlook/gmail/phone I need to set? Thanks everyone

Answer : Can't get Emails to delete in phone after deleted from Outlook

Having them setup as POP is the problem. You need to setup those Outlook accounts as "IMAP" instead of POP3. Reason being, is that POP will download the mail to your local system and even though you obviously have Outlook configured to "leave a copy on the Server"...when you delete the mail from Outlook you are only deleting it from the local machine.

Configure the Outlook accounts as IMAP and when you delete messages they will actually be deleted from the Server -- thus deleting them from your IPhone as well.
