Question : IP Camera ...DLink DCS3320

Hi guys
senario is ....  i have an ip camera ... its Dlink DCS3320. well i just want to ask one thing .....
that i want to  view that camera online ..means over the internet ...
i want to know little concepts
how would i do port forwarding .... i have a DSL connection with 256 Kbps ...but i only have one Public IP address which is bind on my Router ...noww how i can use that Camera to obtain an public IP address ...and work over internet rather than LAN .

Answer : IP Camera ...DLink DCS3320

It seems the router uses port 80 for management, and in the on-line manual I can see no where to charne that. However, if you choose "Add" tab of the camera management software you can specify the port # and IP. Choose something less common like 8001.

Then on the router in the Advanced section under NAT - Virtual server choose "Custom Server" enter the IP of the Camera, then below enter the port you choose such as 8001 and enter it in the 4 boxes internal start and end, and external start and end, and choose TCP, then save.

Now you should be able to connect using the public IP and port number such as http://66.66.123.123:8001
You can not test this from the same site. You have to off site for this test.
