Question : ssl cert installation, and passkey removal?

I recently purchased a cert from Thawte, and i'm running nginx, on a ubuntu 8.10 intrepid distro.
When stopping/starting the nginx it asks for the passkey I made when I created the cert.
What is the best way to link/edit/whatever so that in the event of a reboot, human intervention is not required?
