Question : My POP3 will not accept mails
In win2k I had a Macallan, mailserver. And it worked just fine. Then I upgraded to XP and my POP3 server does not work anymore. If sending a mail from gmail, I get the respond:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for
[email protected]
(state 14).
So I changed mailserver to Mercury/32, in some deperation, and got the same message.
I have tested the POP3 server with: telnet
[email protected]
110
and I could login to the POP3 server.
So, any hints? or clues?
Answer : My POP3 will not accept mails
After changing the mailserver to MailEnable. Everything works just fine.
Highly recomended!
