Question : ethernet slowed from 100.0 mbps to 10.0 mbsp

2 WinXP pcs, purchased within last 6 months,  connected to linksys router vai cat5.
both were connecting at 100.0 mbps.
now 1 of the pc's slowed to 10.0 mbsp.
if i go to network properties and change configuration for adapter to 100 i get "network cable unplugged'.
switch back to autosense, them im back to 10.0

You should go to the router settings and make sure it's set to go at 100Mbps speed... you can access it by typing this in your browser:

192.168.1.1
or
192.168.0.1
or
192.168.2.1

One of these should work, otherwise maybe you set up a different IP range for your network.

If that doesn't work, try getting newer drivers for the network card with the issue, or swapping that network card with another one to see if it's working properly.
