Question : Citrix NT4 sp6 terminal services blue screen
|
|
This is my first post on Experts Exchange, i hope someone will be able to shed some light or help me in correcting the problem i am faced with.
there does not seem to be a "citrix topic forum" so i will post it here as this is the closest.
I am running 2 Citrix NT4 terminal service servers "server 1" and "server 2"
at random times through out the day/week either server will blue screen with the error
*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xa4046000, 0x00000001, 0x00000000, 0xc0290118) PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
CPUID:Genuine Intel 6.b.1 irql:1e SYSVER 0xf0000565
here is a picture of the error and the processes running at the time http://www.getsomeskills.com/datas/users/3-blue%20screen%20error.jpg
This first started to occur roughly 6 months since, we had the 2 servers wipped and re-install and had 4 1/2 months with no problems, in the last 6 weeks the BSOD's have started to re-occur with more and more regularity.
everywhere i read about the error it is linked to either faulty memory (strange to happen on both servers) or 3rd party printer driver problems (this seems more likely, but we had a period of 4 months with no problems using the same drivers now as then)
firstly has anyone been affected by or know of this problem ?
Secondly does anyone have a fix, or possible suggestions to what could be causing it?

Hi mxjxsx,
0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php#0x50
What microsoft has to say about it: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/reskit/prmd_stp_ccgm.asp
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card). Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages (http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php#general)
Possible Resolutions to STOP 0x0A, 0x01E, and 0x50 Errors http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=183169
Could be caused by bad memmory: http://www.memtest86.com
Greetings,
LucF
