Many thanks

Answer : Multicast Server

Well... the one I use and recommend only runs on 2k or 2k3 server, it's Apple's Open Source streaming server.  It support multicast, among other things.  =)  It supports streaming Quicktime streams and MPEG-4 streams (and a few other ones I believe).  Point your browser to...

It runs on Linux, OS-X, and Win2k/2k3 servers, and hence it's name, it's open source and free to use.  There are a few others.  I believe 2k or 2k3 server's windows media sevices supports multicasting video and/or audio streams although I've never used it.  I just found a checklist from M$ about this...

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/server/help/default.asp?url=/windows2000/en/server/help/sag_TAPIchecklist_ipmvc.htm

That one really applies to "video conferencing" not really just streaming video, but they are one in the same concept.  If you don't have most of that checklist complete you'll never be able to just stream video.  =P  take care omars...
