Question : Routing problem on Contivity 1050 or VPN Router 1050

I am trying to set up routing between the private and public interfaces everythigng looks og apart from its not working.

I can ping from the either side to the connected equipments but cannot ping from interface to interface.

I have RIP enable on the private interface and permit all as the firewall filter.

I also see that that interface 0/1, private is down but I can ping this?
